The Senior Nurse will be accountable for clinical practice, the delivery of quality clinical care, and a customer-focused driven service with the Radiology team.
The post holder will also support the Radiologist and Radiographers in the management of the clinical areas, including assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care.
- Supports the team during radiology cases in x-ray, CT, MRI, PET scans and biopsies.
- To assist in the provision of expert advice and interventions within radiology that maintains and improves standards of care and promotes a seamless service within a multi-professional framework.
- The post holder will demonstrate the skills for assessing and interpreting specialist acute and other patient conditions, initiating actions as appropriate.
- Supports the Radiology department by providing a high standard of care for all patients.
- Contribute to the principles of clinical governance, ensuring that quality standards are set and monitored. Ensure that clinical risk management and clinical audit are an integral part and carried out
- Contribute towards a multi-professional approach in the management of patients within Radiology and Imaging.
